How Are The Toxins In Your Body Affecting You?

People spend millions of dollars every year trying to find the secret to a productive, healthy life. But, for most, the secret still eludes them. We’ve been told the answer is in a bottle, a pill, a surgeon’s knife, or some new state-of-the-art technology.

But, how do we achieve that? What does it really take to enjoy good health?

I don’t have all the answers, but I think we need to take a step back and start using some good old-fashioned common sense. Somehow, our ancestors lived simple lives and managed just fine.

Too many have given up eating most of their meals at home in favor of quick meals on the go. The unhealthy foods are inexpensive, so they are the current mainstay in most homes.

Yes, they cost less, but at what cost to your body?

We don’t exercise like we used to because we’re too busy, and let’s face it, it takes effort and planning. There’s a remote for everything, so we don’t even have to get up to do anything.

We can have food delivered right to our door and prepared in the microwave in just minutes.

We live in a world of “having your cake and eating it too”.

There really is no magic silver bullet, though.

Much of the alternative, holistic medical profession believes that most of the chronic disease that plagues the western world is the direct result of living in our toxic environment. The fact is that, you could live a very clean, healthy, active life and still suffer sickness because of the chemicals in our water, air, food, and home.

We need to begin making better choices about what we eat and removing harmful foods that are linked to certain illnesses. We can’t completely control everything, but we have to take responsibility for what we can control. Money talks, so we must support healthier options like organic and locally grown food sources even if they cost a little more.
